Suddenly,
a golden city
when just now it
was drabby grey
Then the sun
colours the sky
and the gold
has gone away
The sunlight lightly
strokes my skin
as I begin
to drown
But before too long
the light unlasts;
the grey comes
back in town
I can’t seem to
move the light,
make the warm
beams stay
I hug the dark
and ask it if
it could never
again go away.
