I know absolutely nothing about what I’m about to see, so I am very curious, and I’m going in blind. You also refrained from posting any spoilers, which is nice, so I am going in completely without prior knowledge of what I’m about to watch. This is exciting ! Alright, let’s go.

I’m still here though. Now, I mean. You’re watching this, so I’m still here. In this rectangle. I’m obviously also here, here. Here like somewhere physically in this world as I record this. I mean, this is not live. I was somewhere physically when I recorded this. With a physical camera and whatnot.
I’m somewhere now too, if you think about it.
I mean, I exist as pixels at least right now. I’m in a bunch of dots on the screen. That’s where I am, this representation of me. So that’s a somewhere. It’s little dots in your specific screen, which is also physically somewhere.
But I’m also information on a server being transmitted through a stream. That’s what these pixels are, right ? Information stored somewhere. So I’m there too. I’m on your screen within some dots, but I’m also in some data on a hard drive somewhere at the Youtube server farm.
360 hours every minute. Of video. That’s being uploaded to Youtube. 360 HOURS, every MINUTE. That’s crazy. I’m just one of those videos, I’ve even already been talking longer than a minute. So that’s way more than 360 hours uploaded now. 360 hours, that’s 15 days non stop video to watch, that’s uploaded every MINUTE. Every MINUTE, guys. And it’s stored somewhere. And a decade from now, someone is watching this. That’s CRAZY.
That’s crazy. I might not even be here anymore.
I mean, not on this physical spot. I might have gone out, get some food. Or for a drink. Or I might have moved house. But I might even already be dead. That’s even crazier. So I might not be on this planet anymore, as the person I was when I recorded this. As this person, this one, you are watching now. That lives in your screen. That’s in that server somewhere. Trapped. Locked away forever.
360 Hours a minute. And we’re giving it away for free. To someone else. It’s not even on our own hard drive, it’s somewhere in a company’s vault. They happily accept it from us, then spoonfeed it back. Yum yum yum.
And I’m watching you. You, over there, who is watching me.
If we did this in the real world, that would freak us both out, probably. Or it would me, I don’t know about you. I mean, looking at you, I really don’t know.
This is insane. So I’m staring at you, you’re staring at me. And the moment’s gone. All is gone. Yet you can just repeat. You can rewind, replay. You can play this again later. I’ll just be saying the same thing. But you’ll be different. So it’ll be a completely different situation, the two of us.
