The Ballad Of Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde

(What is this about ?)
They banded together,
together they’d win
Keep their whole world safe,
no dangers within

But sure, it was hard
to stand their ground,
they had to split apart,
and move all around

Thus goes the ballad
of Blinky and Pinky
of their pal Inky
and then there was Clyde.

Running in circles
making the rounds,
guarding the pellets
counting amounts

Then a sudden suspicion:
Something was wrong!
Pellets were missing,
where they belong.

Thus goes the ballad
of Blinky and Pinky
their cheerful pal Inky
and let’s not forget Clyde.

They soon took to arms,
someone at flight !
Went off after him
ready to fight

Clyde led the team
straight to the thief
for once, he proved useful
to everyone’s relief

Thus goes the ballad
about Blinky, Pinky
and poor sweet Inky
and silly old Clyde

They had him surrounded,
his eyes sure burned,
the hungry monster…
when the tables were turned.

Clyde was in such hurry
he forgot where they were…
When the beast took a bite
the group did bestir

Thus goes the ballad
of the three rhyming friends
and how their stupid mate
had brought about their ends

They ran, yes they fled
with teeth in their tracks
when Blinky was devoured
right behind their backs

Then Pinky shrieked
and Inky’s end came
though to everyone’s relief:
Clyde’s fate was the same.

Thus endeth the ballad
of these unfortunate men.
‘twas definately Game Over.
